Y6 Residential visit
Our itinerary was full and we had lots of fun! We visited a working Victorian Wool Mill (and saw an original working Spinning Jenny); Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve; Dartmoor National Park (where guides escorted us on a walk across the moors and guided us up Hound Tor); Becky Falls; Morwellham Quay (a fabulous Victorian Quay where the children went down a copper mine, worked as child labour on the dressing floor, dressed up in Victorian costume, learned about life at sea, hand-made rope, practiced their handwriting and spelling in an original Victorian school room and visited the village farm); The National Aquarium (the cast of Nimo were there!) and finally a picnic on Plymouth Hoe before returning to school. During our week we also found time to play on the beach; have a party and of course eat chips and ice-cream as a treat!
